A software services provider and innovation firm, TCube Solutions is expanding its existing operations in Richland County, South Carolina. To accommodate its continued growth, the company is investing $1.7 million to move into a new facility and create 100 jobs.

Founded in 2007 with the assistance of the USC-Columbia Technology Incubator program, TCube provides efficient and cost-effective software systems implementation, configuration, maintenance and integration services to insurance industry clients worldwide. With more than 100 existing employees in the United States, the company utilizes innovation accelerators and complementary solutions to reduce clients’ cost and risk, allowing them to maximize revenues.

The company will be moving into a 25,000-square-foot workspace in the First Base Building at Spirit Communications Park in Columbia and adding additional equipment.

As an incentive, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits related to this project.

“Columbia is a thriving insurance technology hub offering experienced local talent and community resources that continue to accelerate our business growth. Specialized educational programs from USC, Midlands Tech and local industry groups help sustain a rich talent pool. We continue to receive outstanding support from local, state and community leaders. We want to especially thank Representative James Smith for helping TCube connect with the many support groups and local leaders that have been so instrumental in our success. Partnerships with the USC Business and Technology Incubator, USC and Midlands Tech enable TCube’s business to thrive in Columbia,” said TCube Solutions CEO Sam McGuckin.

“TCube’s growth in Richland County, with its decision to invest an additional $1.7 million, is another success story that shows that Team South Carolina has developed a business environment where companies of all kinds can thrive. We’re excited to thank TCube for the commitment they have shown to our people by creating 100 new jobs, and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our state,” said Governor Nikki Haley.

“Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate a great win for South Carolina’s rapidly-growing tech industry. With this announcement, TCube builds on the momentum achieved by this dynamic sector, which employs approximately 60,000 workers across our state,” Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt said.

“Columbia and the Central South Carolina region have long been hubs for the insurance sector, and today offers a thriving insurance technology environment. TCube Solutions is a start-up company that continues to grow and expand here at home. Companies operating in the knowledge economy understand the value of operating in a region that offers tremendous higher education support that generates a trained and skilled workforce. Congratulations to TCube Solutions; we look forward to future growth and development,” said Mike Brennan, Chairman of Central S.C. Alliance.
