Allegheny Bradford Corporation, a custom fabricator of stainless steel sanitary/hygiene products, will expand its manufacturing operation in Lewis Run, Pennsylvania, with a $6.5 million investment. The company will immediately begin construction on a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at the company's current site, with full operations expected by September. At least 77 skilled manufacturing jobs will be created as a result of the expansion, and 199 existing positions will be retained. Allegheny Bradford's customer base includes the pharmaceutical, biotech, cosmetic, food and beverage, and electronics processing industries. According to a statement from the Pennsylvania governor's office, the company will receive more than $2.9 million in state and local incentives, including job creation tax credits and training assistance.
