21st Century Oncology is creating 40 jobs in Fort Myers, Florida, the News-Press reports. The company will receive up to $300,000 in state and local incentives for the expansion.

"We were looking to consolidate with offices that also had billing and collections services," said company Treasurer Jeffrey Pakrosnis. "It made sense to bring those operations here."

The company operates more than 90 radiation therapy centers in 16 states. The company plans to hire the new works as soon as possible, Pakrosnis said.

The Lee County Economic Development Office, where 21st Century Oncology is located, is seeking to expand its health sciences technology cluster.
