UniTech Services Group, a manufacturer of protective wear and laundry services for workers in nuclear power and other radiological facilities, will expand its facility in Barnwell, South Carolina, according to the South Carolina Department of Commerce. The project is expected to create 50 new jobs, increasing the work force at the plant by 50 percent. The Massachusetts-headquartered company says it will consolidate operations from other locations to facilitate the expansion. "UniTech has achieved success with our Barnwell work force, and we look forward to expanding operations there to position our company for growth," says Paul Manley, the company's national director of operations. No information was released regarding the company's financial investment or incentives from state and local governments.
