Adesis, Inc., a provider of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical research services, will expand its existing laboratory and scientific research space in New Castle, Delaware, according to the Delaware Economic Development Office. At least 23 new high-wage jobs are planned over the next two years with the expansion; the company currently employs 50. "More companies in the pharmaceutical industry are recognizing the benefits of outsourcing as an effective cost-reduction strategy," says Ving. J. Lee, Ph.D., the company's CEO. Incentives offered to Adesis include a $90,000 performance-based grant and a $500,000 loan from the state.
