General Motors Company (GM) is investing approximately $364 million at its metal assembly plant in Marion, Indiana, according to the Associated Press (AP). The automaker plans to transfer approximately 230 workers from plants in Michigan and Ohio to work at the Indiana facility, which employs a total of 1,106 salaried and hourly employees. The plant stamps and assembles metal components for GM vehicles, including doors, hoods, and quarter panels. AP reports that GM expects the expansion of the plant to be completed by June 2010.
