Most CEOs know their employees are their companies' most valuable asset
and, consequently, they invest time, money, and emotional energy into
building an employee-focused workplace. However, they still struggle
with long-term retention because employees simply aren't as loyal as
they used to be, says the 2007 Management Action Programs (MAP)
Quarterly CEO Survey conducted by Vantage Research & Consulting of
Valencia, Calif. MAP President and CEO Lee Froschheiser says "there's no
quick fix" to this problem, but some proven strategies include an
effective on-boarding process, opportunities for employee development,
and consistent performance feedback and coaching throughout the year to
support the annual review process.
