Accu-Mold is investing $5 million and creating 43 jobs in Ankeny, Iowa, doubling the size of its existing facility, the Des Moines Register reports. The company, which makes plastic injection-molded parts for the electronics and medical industries, will receive tax abatements and rebates from the local council.

"We have every reason to be hopeful there will be even more job creation," Roger Hargens, company president and CEO, told the council. Accu-Mold planned the expansion due to the need for more high-tech manufacturing space.

Ankeny's economic development department recently began a Local Business Investment Policy incentives program, which provides abatements and property tax rebates for up to 10 years. Accu-Mold is the first company to take advantage of the program.
