Multi-industry company Wamar International, Inc. will invest between $3.5 million and $4.5 million to expand its operations in Atlanta, Georgia, according to the Georgia governor's office. The company plans to create 100 jobs over the next three years and a total of 300 over the next 10 years. Wamar will consolidate its three business units -- defense and security, energy, and procurement and logistics -- at a new 100,000-square-foot location near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. "The Atlanta facility will complement our global operations in the fields of energy, security and defense, aviation, procurement, and logistics," says Nabil Barakat, president and CEO of the California-headquartered company. "Wamar has evolved to be a global player in these fields nd believes that Atlanta provides the business environment to support our continued growth." No information was released regarding financial incentives.
