Perkins Specialized Transportation, a contract trucking firm, will
invest $14.9 million to expand its operations in Noblesville, Indiana,
according to the Indiana governor's office. The company, which provides
long-haul and regional truckload distribution throughout the
continental United States, plans to create 20 new positions for drivers
and support staff over the next year. "The Saxony Corporate Center and
Noblesville offered us an opportunity to expand our corporate
headquarters, providing better and more modern facilities for our
associates, as well as easy access for our drivers who frequently visit
to conduct business with our departments. We're very excited to be
here," says Andy Card, Perkins' president and CEO. Incentives offered
to the company include up to $43,000 in training grants from the state
contingent on job creation.
