Hitachi has inaugurated the expansion of its 200,000-square-foot international distribution center in Norman, Oklahoma. The company will create 75 jobs as part of the project.

Hitachi is the first business in the state to take advantage of the Oklahoma Community Economic Development Pooled Finance Act, a new incentive. The program provides up to $200 million of taxable bond proceeds towards local economic development investments.

The Norman facility now encompasses all of Hitachi's North and South American distribution functions. The original facility measured 162,000 square feet.
