Area Development
JLA Home, a maker of home furnishing goods, is creating 100 new jobs in Savannah, Georgia, by 2011. The company will occupy a 689,400-square-foot facility for an assembly and distribution center.

"There were many items considered while we researched for our new location on the east coast, however the overall Port of Savannah was the key along with the pro business attitude that was expressed by all parties within the Savannah area," said Rodney Dickey, COO of JLA Home. "The overall quality of life, real estate market and labor pool was also a major attraction."

JLA's purchase of the facility marks the largest Class A industrial property sale in the Savannah market in nearly three years.
