Brink’s Regional Services will establish its Latin American headquarters in Miami-Dade County, Florida, adding 105 jobs and $2.56 million in new capital investment within three years.

“Brink’s decided to institute the LATAM Shared Service Center in Miami due to its ideal location and convenient access to all countries in Latin America, rich cultural ties to the region, and a highly qualified workforce with extensive experience and strong expertise working and serving the Latin American markets,” said Orlando Bravo, Chief Financial Officer for Brink’s Latin America.

Brink’s Regional Services is a subsidiary of Brink’s Nederland B.V. which is owned by The Brinks Company. Founded in 1859 and based in Richmond, Virginia, Brink’s services includes money processing, long-distance transport of valuables, and vaulting. The new location in unincorporated Miami-Dade County will also house a financial services center supporting Latin American operations in more than 10 countries.

“Brink’s decision to locate their new support facility in Miami is a great addition to our professional and financial services sector,” said Secretary of Commerce Gray Swoope, who also serves as the president and CEO of Enterprise Florida. “This project will not only add value to the industry but it gives us the opportunity to expose our state internationally. I’m pleased that Brink’s has chosen Florida for the growth of their company and Florida’s resources will benefit their expansion.”

“Brink’s establishment of a headquarters in Miami is further proof that South Florida is becoming the premier hub for international trade with Latin and South America,” said Jesse Panuccio, Executive Director of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. “Policy matters, and we will continue to pursue a pro-growth agenda that promotes expansions link Brink’s.”

“Miami-Dade County government is working closely with our partners at the Beacon Council to continue creating the climate of economic opportunity that will attract businesses to locate in our community,” said Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez. “This announcement by Brink’s Regional Services is just the latest example of a company taking advantage of our unparalleled access to Latin American markets while creating jobs and bringing investments into Miami-Dade.”

“We are happy to see a company with the rich history of Brink’s to bring new jobs and investment to Miami-Dade,” said President and CEO of The Beacon Council Larry K. Williams. “And I look forward to working with Enterprise Florida to bring new economic development opportunities to this community.”

“Brink’s selection of Miami for its new finance and accounting center to support operations in Latin America is further evidence of Florida’s prime location as an international hub for business, and highlights the global competitiveness of our workforce,” said Workforce Florida President/CEO Chris Hart IV.

Governor Rick Scott said, “Job creators like Brink’s have been the reason Florida’s unemployment rate has remained below the national average in the last six months and why more families can live the American Dream in the Sunshine State."
