Plenty Unlimited Inc., a company dedicated to advancing the emerging technology field of indoor agriculture, will establish its vertical farming research center in Laramie, Wyoming. The project is expected to create 200 jobs.

The 60,000-square-foot facility will be built on 16 acres at the Cirrus Sky Technology Park. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year with operations in early 2025.

“Our new facility will expand our capability to grow the widest variety of crops, which is key to unlocking the potential of this category and addresses a major limitation for the industry today,” says Plenty CEO Arama Kukutai.

The Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board approved a $20 million Business Ready Community Business Committed grant from the Wyoming Business Council to the City of Laramie which will be applied to construction and infrastructure costs. Additional funding, land and support for the project is being provided by the City of Laramie and the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance.
