A manufacturing partner focused in the aerospace, industrial equipment, marine and general machining markets, TRIAX Precision Manufacturing located its production center in South Manatee County, Florida.

According to Sharon Hillstrom, President/CEO of the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corp., TRIAX acquired Sarasota-based Hi-Nu-Tec Inc. in 2015, and is expanding that operation in 14,000 square feet at 911 Commerce Boulevard N near Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. The company provides machining, engineering, welding and assembly capabilities using advanced software and process controls.

“TRIAX Precision Manufacturing is a valuable addition to Manatee County’s advanced manufacturing sector,” said Hillstrom, whose team worked with the company to remain in the region and move to a larger facility. “TRIAX provides services that are in strong demand among manufacturers locally and globally. The high-tech nature of the company’s business generates jobs that tend to pay higher-than-average wages.”

“Being Florida residents and after divesting prior ventures, the owners of TRIAX are bringing global, world-class manufacturing experience to the local market to help build the Bradenton area’s high-tech manufacturing presence,” said Michael P. McKee, CFO for TRIAX.

“The EDC was extremely quick to react to all our requests for information regarding locating in the area, setting up meetings with their specialists, and identifying real estate opportunities. In addition they provided a liaison with CareerSource Suncoast for recruiting, fast-tracked our application for the county’s Rapid Response program, and helped us apply for economic development incentives,” said Gary A. North, President of TRIAX. “The EDC continues to be involved, taking an active interest in our progress through site visits and inviting us to network with area businesses.”

As an incentive, Manatee County Board of Commissioners approved TRIAX for $9,000 in performance-based incentives based on adding nine jobs over the next five years. To qualify, the average wage company-wide must be 15 percent greater than the average annual wage in Manatee County in 2013.
