Siemens Power Generation, Inc. will invest $33 million to expand production of wind turbines at its facility in Fort Madison, Iowa. The project will create approximately 287 new jobs - more than doubling the current work force - at an average salary of more than $17 per hour, according to state economic development officials. The company plans to expand its manufacturing facility by 75,000 square feet and to build a new 125,000-square-foot rail yard. Construction is expected to be completed by October of this year. The company is expected to receive more than $5 million in state and local financial incentives.
