Area Development
Vistra Communications, a nationally-recognized, full-service communications strategy and professional solutions agency, recently moved its Tampa headquarters to nearby Lutz, Florida.

The company will nearly double its workforce, adding up to 50 new-to-Florida positions by 2022 and investing $1.3 million in the community. Vistra, which currently employs 60, recently relocated to a 7,400 square foot facility at 18315 N. US Highway 41 in Lutz to accommodate the growth.

“The Vistra team is not only focused on our growth as an organization, but committed to the development and sustainability of the Tampa Bay area,” said Brian Butler, President & CEO of Vistra. “While it takes drive to execute the vision of an organization, it truly takes the efforts of a great team to continue that success.”

Founded in 2007, Vistra is an SBA 8(a) Certified and a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides services to federal government agencies as well as the private sector. In less than a decade, Vistra has grown to become the largest public relations firm in the Tampa Bay area. The agency was awarded Small Business of the Year in the 21-50 employee category by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and Brian was named SBA’s South Florida District Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year for 2016.

The Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation assisted Vistra with its real estate search, as well as connections to CareerSource Tampa Bay and Hillsborough County for workforce programs and training grants and expedited permitting assistance, respectively.

“Our community understands the enormous value that veteran-owned businesses like Vistra Communications add to Hillsborough County and we pride ourselves on supporting our servicemen and women as they transition into our workforce,” said Dr. Ken Atwater, Chairman of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation and President of Hillsborough Community College. “We congratulate Brian Butler and his team on their expansion and for the job opportunities and economic contributions this will bring to the residents of Hillsborough County.”
