Proper Polymers is investing $15.4 million to build a manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. The facility will manufacture injection molded components for the automotive industries and is expected to generate 87 jobs.

A division of Proper Group International, Proper Polymers Greenville, a strategic supplier to large Tier 1 integrators, will be building a 50,000-square-foot facility in Greenville County's Matrix Park, expandable up to 100,000-square-feet.

"Our company is thankful for the opportunity to grow our business in South Carolina, and further support our customer base in this region. The state and local governments have been very accommodating in supporting our second facility in the Upstate area,” said Proper Polymers President Joe Grippe.

The plant will begin coming online in October of 2016, and while initial hiring is expected to begin in the summer of 2016, the bulk of the hiring will take place during the second and third quarters of 2017.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits related to the project.
