Siemens Canada Limited has received an additional wind turbine order from San Francisco, California-based Pattern Energy Group.
The 60 turbines are slated for the St. Joseph Windfarm outside Morris, Manitoba. Siemens will supply the turbines, along with technical assistance for erecting and commissioning the turbines, and service and maintenance for two years.
The Windfarm will have a total generating capacity of 138 megawatts, which can provide power to 50,000 homes in the area. Construction will begin in September and is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
