Snak-Time Foods, a producer of sandwich and biscuit products for food service companies, will expand its manufacturing facility in Gaffney, South Carolina, according to state commerce officials. The company plans to invest $800,000 and add 40 new jobs. "Gaffney has been a good fit for our company and offers us an excellent business environment and solid labor force," says Roy Elswick, Snak-Time's president and CEO. "With this expansion, we will be able to meet growing demand from our customers. We appreciate all the support we've received from state and local officials." The North Carolina-headquartered company plans to add a product line of frozen biscuits; its sandwich products are distributed to food service and convenience store markets, as well as school systems in South Carolina and North Carolina. Neither the company nor state officials released information regarding financial incentives.
