British-based Photocentric, Inc., a company focusing on photopolymer and additive manufacturing, will move its US-based headquarters from Phoenix to a 50,000 square foot leased facility in Avondale, Arizona. The company will double its space and expects to create dozens of new jobs.
Photocentric plans to relocate to Avondale 107 Industrial Park, 855 N. 107th Ave. in the fall of 2021. The new location will allow the company to grow its innovation and additive manufacturing processes while vertically integrating the entire photopolymer process in the United States from manufacturing to distribution.
“At our core, Photocentric is a technology and innovation company. We’re thrilled to move our US-based operations to Avondale and add to the high-tech industry cluster growth in the area,” said Photocentric COO Leea Haarz said in published reports. “The high caliber of available talent and great partnership with the City of Avondale’s Economic Development team have made this decision easy, and will ensure future success.”
“Photocentric’s industry-leading technology is a welcome addition to Arizona’s innovation ecosystem and will create new high-value jobs for our residents,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “We thank the entire team at Photocentric for selecting Arizona as the home of your corporate headquarters and manufacturing operation.”
Founded in 2002 in the United Kingdom, Photocentric has been at the cutting edge of innovation in photopolymer, manufacturing a wide variety of materials that harden in light.
“Avondale is fast becoming one of the Valley’s most desirable locations for high-tech companies that want to take advantage of our competitively priced real estate options and proximity to major transportation corridors and skilled labor force,” said Kenneth Chapa, Economic Development Director at the City of Avondale. “Photocentric is a leader in 3-D manufacturing, and we are excited to welcome them to our community.”
