ZirMed, the premier cloud-based enterprise financial and clinical performance solution for healthcare, opened its Healthcare Analytics Center of Excellence in Chicago, Illinois, with initial plans to hire 200 or more advanced healthcare technologists.

The new Center, located at 111 North Canal Street in Chicago’s West Loop, will support client growth and ZirMed’s expanding portfolio of predictive analytics-based revenue cycle management and population health solutions. The firms data science experts will work out of the Chicago office, which will also house R&D and development for ZirMed's predictive modeling and data mining capabilities, which is the core of the company's revenue cycle and population health solutions.

“ZirMed is excited to open our new Healthcare Analytics Center of Excellence in Chicago to continue to develop the latest advanced technologies to help healthcare providers achieve operational and clinical excellence,” said Tom Butts, CEO, ZirMed. “Chicago is primed for recruiting and retaining top technology talent in part because of its world-renowned universities, research institutions, and top-notch health systems.”

According to Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Office the firm selected Chicago for what it calls its Healthcare Analytics Center of Excellence because it provides access to strong human capital and universities including Northwestern, University of Chicago, University of Illinois, and DePaul University.

“ZirMed’s decision to expand its Chicago presence and create 200 more jobs here serves as a great vote of confidence in the talent we have today but also the 21st century workforce we are building for the future,” said Mayor Rahm Emanuel. “By continuing to invest in everything from education to transportation, we will encourage more companies like ZirMed to invest in Chicago, creating more jobs for residents throughout the city.”

The Chicago location will join ZirMed’s existing offices in Louisville and Santa Monica. To support its Chicago expansion, ZirMed is looking to fill a wide variety of positions, including data science analysts, project managers, and developers, that will be led by a team of some of the country’s leading healthcare data scientists and software engineers.
