Area Development
GE Canada is investing $63.5 million over six years to diversify its production of aircraft parts. The money will create 80 jobs and retain 545 employees at its Bromont, Quebec facility. The province will support the project with a $13.3 million loan.

GE maintains several Canadian manufacturing facilities and 150 sales and services locations. The company employs a total of 8,500 Canadians.

At the Bromont plant, new technology will allow the facility to build aircraft engine parts including fan blades and low-pressure turbine blades. The parts are used in both commercial and military aircraft.
