Applied Materials, a world leader in materials engineering solutions, will expand its new semiconductor manufacturing center in Flathead Valley, Montana. The project is expected to create 200 jobs.
The 100,000-square-foot facility will be used to manufacture subassemblies and process equipment used for semiconductor production for electronic devices, including computers and smartphones. The expansion brings the company’s total square footage to 350,000 among three buildings. Applied Materials currently employs 600 people in Flathead Valley.
