Future Foam Inc., a company that specializes in polyurethane foam products, will renovate and begin manufacturing at a 341,840 square feet plant in Garland, Texas. The $3 million project is expected to create 104 full time jobs with plans for further expansion in the coming years.

The project, which involves a major renovation to a 58 year old building on a 19.69 acre site, expects to be fully operational before the end of the year. According to city officials, the company will also reactivate rail service to the facility.

“Future Foam is excited to announce the expansion of manufacturing operations into Garland, which is advantageous for its strategic location and manufacturing resources. We are happy to work together with the City of Garland in a mutually beneficial partnership,” said Patrick Medinger, Future Foam CFO.

$6 million is expected to be added to the City’s tax rolls from the transfer of operations and from additional machinery and equipment added through the expansion.

We appreciate their role in bringing this industrial building back to life while helping diversify the City’s tax base. Prior to this, 3000 W. Kingsley has remained vacant since 2015 when APEX Tool Group consolidated their operations from their Garland site into their South Carolina facility, resulting in the loss of 261 jobs.
