Jani-King Gulf Coast broke ground on a new 18,000-square-foot corporate headquarters facility in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

The company will make a $4.5 million capital investment to develop the new headquarters location, which will replace the company’s current location in downtown Ponchatoula. The new corporate headquarters will be located northeast of the Interstate 55 interchange with Louisiana Highway 22.

Since launching in 1969, Jani-King has grown into the world’s largest commercial cleaning franchise company, operating 130 support offices. Jani-King Gulf Coast is the largest master franchise in the Jani-King system, with more than 500 Jani-King franchises stretching from Texas to Georgia.

"This project has taken two years of planning. It was a bigger project than we anticipated and there were many people and agencies involved to finalize the start date,” and Jani-King Gulf Coast CEO Thomas Enmon said. “This building will give Jani-King Gulf Coast the much-needed space to hire additional employees to serve our 500 franchisees that service 3,400 customers located within our six-state area. We are glad it is in Ponchatoula, and very much want to thank the many people that helped us get to this point."

“The expansion of the Jani-King Gulf Coast headquarters in Ponchatoula is a testament to the company’s strategic growth, resulting from the strong business acumen of its leaders,” said Governor John Bel Edwards. “Louisiana is proud to be home to the largest master franchise for Jani-King, and I am confident that the company’s renewed commitment to Louisiana will result in dividends for the community and our state. As a proud partner in the community, Jani-King Gulf Coast is invested in the success of Louisiana.”

LED began working with Jani-King Gulf Coast on a potential headquarters project in April 2018. To secure the project, the State of Louisiana offered the company a competitive incentive package that includes a $100,000 performance-based grant to facilitate lease support. Additionally, the company is expected to utilize the state’s Enterprise Zone Program.

“Tangipahoa is grateful for Jani-King Gulf Coast and the commitment of the Enmon family to invest in the parish through their company’s expansion and construction of their new corporate headquarters in Ponchatoula,” said Executive Director Ginger Cangelosi of Tangipahoa Economic Development Foundation. “This is another example of the successful multigenerational legacy of companies that choose to call Tangipahoa home. We couldn’t be prouder to help celebrate their success.”

“We commend Jani-King Gulf Coast as it continues to add corporate capacity and jobs here in the Greater New Orleans region,” said President & CEO Michael Hecht of Greater New Orleans Inc. “Growing their corporate headquarters in Ponchatoula is a validation of Jani-King’s commitment to Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.”
