3M will shutter its dental implant production facility in Ardmore, Oklahoma, company officials announced late last week. The company cited efforts to increase efficiency as the reason for the closure. Some employees will relocate to other facilities, while others will be offered a severance package. Ardmore operations will be distributed across 3M facilities in St. Paul, Minnesota and Irvine, California. The plant will close by the end of the year. The company has not released the number of positions it will eliminate.
