Dicon Technologies, a manufacturer of medical components, will construct a new production facility in Black Creek, Georgia. The company currently manufactures all of its products in China and will move many of its current and future products, along with up to 100 jobs, from its facility there to the new Georgia location. "We are very impressed by Georgia's progressive economic development and partnership programs, as well as the skilled workforce here," says Sam Ginsberg, chair of Dicon Technologies. "Those factors, in addition to ease of exporting thanks to our proximity to Georgia's ports and to Dow Chemical, a key strategic partner, give us great confidence that Georgia is the right location to make the technology-drive, advanced products the health industry demands." The New Jersey-headquartered company will occupy a temporary location while the new facility is being built. Dicon Technologies officers have indicated that they may move the headquarters and R&D operations to the Georgia facility in the future.
