Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), a Fortune 500 provider of business process and information technology services, will invest $3 million to expand its operations in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The company says it plans to hire 600 new employees at the to-be-built 34,000-square-foot customer care center. "Colorado Springs offers an exceptional pool of skilled and educated talent, enabling us to continue offering some of the best customer care work in the industry," says Tom Blodgett, CEO for ACS' commercial operations. "Our ability to exceed our customers' expectations and the desire of economic development officials to help make this happen very quickly helped bring this project to Colorado." The Texas-headquartered company will immediately begin hiring customer care agents, trainers, managers, and supervisors, with training classes set to begin later this month. The Colorado governor's office did not release information about financial incentives for ACS.
