Reinke Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of electrical assemblies, plans to expand its production facility in Belleville, Kansas, more than doubling its workforce.

According to the Kansas Department of Commerce, the expanded facility at 1207 H Street will be around 20,000 square feet. The expansion will provide more production capacity for the firm's irrigation and chassis products manufactured in north central Kansas.

"This is great news for Belleville," said Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George. "Kansas is working hard to bring more jobs and economic growth to rural parts of the state, and I'm glad that the community continues to play an important part in Reinke's future growth."

Company officials cited the increased demand for its products for the expansion, which will increase employment at the Belleville plant to 50 workers by the end of 2013. "We are excited about expanding our manufacturing presence in Belleville as the demand for our products continues to grow both domestically and internationally," said Reinke President Chris Roth. While details about any incentives offered the firm were not immediately available, Republic County Economic Development, North Central Kansas Industrial Development, and the city of Belleville assisted Reinke with preliminary research for the project.

"We are thrilled about Reinke's new endeavor in Republic County and happy that they chose to build here," said Jenny Russell, Republic County Economic Development coordinator. "This new project fits our goals of developing our industrial properties, diversifying employment opportunities, and ultimately increasing our population. Reinke has been a strong community partner for years, and we look forward to a continued relationship with them for years to come."
