Vogelsang Corporation, a maker of steel products, is moving its manufacturing facility from Lakewood, New Jersey to Georgetown, Kentucky. The move will create 43 jobs, and the company will invest nearly $3.5 million.
"The opportunity to relocate to Kentucky gives us two extremely strong advantages: one, to be more competitive in the automotive sector, and two, a wealth of potential employees with automotive-based training," said Dale Stuban, Vogelsang's managing director.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has preliminarily approved Vogelsang for tax incentives up to $900,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program.
Vogelsang makes goods such as RollPins, Coil Pins, hydro-bushings, weld-eye rings, and agricultural bushings for several sectors. Its customers are predominantly located in the mid-south.
