Intersections Inc., a Virginia-based provider of consumer and corporate identity risk management services, will open a customer care center in Altavista, creating 250 jobs.

"Given its high-quality, stable work force, Altavista is a perfect location for our new center. It will allow us to continue to support our growing customer base with top-quality customer service assistance, while helping to stimulate the economy and provide jobs among a hard-working community," said Michael Stanfield, CEO of Intersections.

The Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission has approved $100,000 in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds for Intersections. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will help train employees through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program. The company may also receive a Major Business Facility Job Tax Credit.

Intersections has headquarters in Chantilly.
