Logikos Inc., a software research and development firm, will expand its national headquarters and R&D center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with a $5 million investment. The company plans to build and equip a 26,000-square-foot facility and create 30 new software engineering and executive positions ranging in salary from $40,000 to more than $100,000 per year. Logikos executives expect to complete the new facility approximately 18 months from now and will begin hiring the new positions before the end of this year. The company has been offered incentives from the state that include $235,000 in performance-based tax credits, $61,500 in training grants based on job creation, and $25,000 for infrastructure improvements; the city will also offer tax abatements and assistance with other expenses in amounts that have not been released.
