A company that manufactures premium-quality, engineered fans and blowers to the industrial and OEM marketplace, The New York Blower Company will expand its manufacturing facility in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. The company plans to create 22 new manufacturing jobs.

The project will expand the company’s existing 15,000 square-foot facility by over 30,000 square feet and double its New Castle workforce, enabling the company to better meet client demand. NYB has committed to investing at least $4.7 million into the project, which will create 22 new, full-time jobs over the next three years and retain 18 more positions statewide.

“We at NYB are proud to be expanding our operation in New Castle,” said Scott Hamilton, Vice President of Operations at NYB. “It has been a great experience working with The Governor’s Action Team to solidify the project in Pennsylvania. It was not a difficult decision to make New Castle a foundation for the continued growth and success of our business.”

New York Blower received a funding proposal from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for a $75,000 Pennsylvania First grant, an $18,400 WEDnet grant for job training, and $44,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits to be distributed upon creation of the new jobs.

The project was coordinated by the Governor’s Action Team in collaboration with the Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation.

“Every day, this administration is working to grow Pennsylvania’s manufacturing base and create family-sustaining manufacturing jobs,” Governor Tom Wolf said. “Seeing strong manufacturers like NYB choose to grow their existing operations in Pennsylvania shows that our manufacturing sector is strong, and getting stronger. This is great news for Lawrence County and for Pennsylvania as a whole.”

“The Board of Directors as well as the Lawrence County Commissioners and Shenango Township Supervisors were pleased to work with New York Blower as it provides additional jobs and investment in the community,” said Linda Nitch, Director of Economic Business Development at LCEDC.
