Fort Recovery Construction & Equipment will create 120 jobs in Portland, Indiana when it expands its SolarAg division in the city. The company designs agricultural buildings and equipment, and will invest nearly $2 million to renovate its facility, allowing research, development, and production of solar thermal collector panels.

"We are convinced that Indiana's progressive, pro-business environment; innovative work force; and unmatched technological and manufacturing expertise make the state a center for research, development, and production in the renewable energy industry," said Brad Stultz, director of alternative energy development for SolarAg.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has extended Fort Recovery up to $535,000 in tax credits. Additionally, the city of Portland has approved property tax abatement at the request of the Jay County Development Corporation.
