CQMS Razer, based in Queensland, Australia, is expanding its operations and product lines in Mansfield, Louisiana, creating more than 200 jobs by 2017. The company produces goods and services for the mining industry.

"Following our recent acquisition of Hendrix Manufacturing, CQMS Razer now has the opportunity to increase its work force and introduce new product lines at the Mansfield facility," said company General Manager Max Voigt. "This gives CQMS Razer the ability to strengthen its competitiveness and grow in the North American marketplace."

Louisiana Economic Development says the company's creation of 232 jobs will result in $11 million in new state tax revenue and $7.4 million in new local tax revenue during the first 10 years of its operation. After it expands, CQMS will become one of the state's top 300 companies driving the economy.

Louisiana FastStart is working with CQMS on customized work force training solutions. The company will also seek the state's Industrial Tax Exemption and use the Quality Jobs program.
