KC Integrated Services has announced it will be locating a new logistics service center in Sherman, Mississippi, to provide warehousing and storage services to Toyota (and its Tier 1 suppliers) and a truck maintenance operation. The $5.1 million investment should create 100 jobs over the next three years. The center will be housed in a 115,000-sq.-ft. facility previously occupied by EPI Plastics.

Headquartered in Carleton, Michigan, KC Integrated Services is a full-service supply chain solutions provider for North America and other worldwide locales.

"KC Integrated Services is looking forward to this new opportunity with Toyota and the people of Mississippi," said CEO Ken Calender. "We think there will be great growth potential within the Blue Springs area."

The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) provided loans to Pontotoc County for the acquisition of the company's facility in Sherman. Both MDA and the county also provided funding for public infrastructure improvements.

MDA Executive Director Leland Speed said KCI's decision to locate there is "great news for the county" and further proof that communities throughout north Mississippi are benefiting from business growth opportunities associated with Toyota's Blue Springs plant.
