Robin Spratlin, general manager of economic development for Georgia Power, has been elected president of the Utility Economic Development Association (UEDA). She was elected unanimously during the organization's semiannual board of directors meeting to serve a two-year term. She succeeds Jim Rogers of Duke Energy, who will remain on the board as past president. The UEDA is an organization of investor-owned utility economic development professionals in the United States, Canada, and Europe. It supports members and their economic development allies with networking and educational forums, advance economic development education courses, and specific research. In her position at Georgia Power, Spratlin is responsible for new and expanding industrial and commercial business recruitment throughout the state of Georgia. Georgia Power is the largest subsidiary of Southern Company, serving 2.3 million customers.
