Affirmative Insurance Holdings, a provider of non-standard automobile insurance policies, will invest $1.2 million to relocate its corporate operations center in Chicago, Illinois, to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, according to the Louisiana governor's office. The move will create 56 new jobs at the Baton Rouge operation. "Our experience has shown that Baton Rouge offers both the work force and business climate in which to grow our business," says Bob Bondi, Affirmative's COO. "As we restructure our operations nationally to achieve the greatest efficiencies possible, we are pleased to significantly expand our presence in Baton Rouge." The company chose to relocate the positions to Louisiana over another company operation in Texas. The state and city will provide financial incentives that include $97,000 each toward equipment, as well as options for tax credits and training assistance.
