BBI Logistics, a freight brokerage firm specializing in handling full truck load shipments among other transportation solutions, plans to expand its headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. The project is expected to create 150 new jobs.

Located in Downtown Columbus, BBI Logistics currently has 60 full time employees with plans to almost quadruple its workforce within the next three years, with support from the Ohio Development Services Agency and JobsOhio.

“This expansion is essential to accommodate the significant growth we’ve experienced since launching the company three years ago,” said BBI Logistics Founder Brent Bosse. “From the Region’s access to the broader U.S. market to its talented local workforce and strong logistics sector, we’ve been impressed with the many advantages of operating out of Columbus.”

According to One Columbus, the economic development organization for the 11-county region, the company has greatly increased its client base across the country over the past few years and this expansion will allow BBI Logistics to seamlessly serve its customers while continuing to scale. Hiring for sales, IT, marketing and administrative office positions has already begun.

“Supported by outstanding talent and the strategic advantage of Ohio and the Columbus Region, BBI Logistics continues to grow at its Columbus headquarters,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “BBI’s expansion brings 150 jobs, further solidifying its footprint and positive economic impact in Ohio.”

Founded in Columbus in 2017, BBI Logistics helps customers find the most cost-effective and reliable carrier, while also maximizing load potential for carriers. In addition to full truck load shipments, the company also provides specialized and expedited equipment, as well as LTL and intermodal services.

“It has been exciting to watch Columbus’ own BBI Logistics succeed in such a short duration of time, and we are even more thrilled to see the team expand their presence in our Downtown,” said Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther. “The Columbus Region is a strategic location for those in the logistics industry, and the scalability of this startup logistics company is further proof of the benefits of operating here.”
