Armstrong World Industries, a manufacturer of furniture products for kitchens and bathrooms, will invest $7.8 million to expand its cabinet manufacturing facilities in Thompsontown, Pennsylvania, according to the Pennsylvania governor's office. The company will create 125 new jobs over the next three years and will retain 393 existing positions at the factory. "We appreciate the commonwealth's support of the value Armstrong brings to the economy as a manufacturer and employer," says Michael D. Lockhart, the company's president and CEO. "We look forward to continued success as a Pennsylvania-based company." The commonwealth will provide Armstrong with a $1.15 million incentives package that includes an $800,000 grant and $350,000 in job training assistance.
