Jasper Engine & Transmission Exchange has completed an expansion of its Leavenworth and Jasper, Indiana, operations, creating 65 jobs.

"Jasper Engine & Transmission is excited to have these jobs back in Indiana. We are confident in the skill level and work ethic of the local work force," said Doug Bawel, president of Jasper.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Jasper up to $210,000 in performance-based tax credits. The Dubois County Area Development Corporation and Crawford County Economic Development also supported the project.

Jasper invested $270,000 in machinery and equipment to relocate two out-of-state operations to Indiana. The company, which is based in Jasper, is the largest mass remanufacturer of drivetrain components in the country.
