Area Development
The economic development directory is organized by region and then by state. Preceding the listings of economic development organizations is information on each state's traditional industries, expanding industries, basic business taxes, and financial/business incentives; plus a chart containing detailed manufacturing employment data.

A state contact and a contact for information on state taxes also precede the directory listings for each state.

Following the state contact information is full contact information for the Select Sites. These are the organizations that are advertising in this issue. Web and e-mail addresses are included for these listings within the directory, as well as on the web/ad index in the back of the magazine.

Following this are listings of utility companies and local economic development organizations within each state. The full contact information for these listings can be found on our new site - www.FacilityLocations.com.

Every effort has been made to include the most active economic development organizations so that this directory and our accompanying online directory - www.FacilityLocations.com - will be a useful source of information on all areas of the United States.

Listings are also included for consulting organizations as well as for economic development organizations in Canada and Mexico. (Listings for organizations in the Caribbean Basin, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Pacific Rim/Asia can only be found online.) All of these organizations can help with your site selection needs.
