Clorox Opens Manufacturing Center in Atlanta Metro Area
11/29/2017
Named Atlanta West, the 258,000-square-foot facility is adjacent to the company's existing manufacturing facility, called Atlanta Main, which also manufactures Home Care products. The opening of Atlanta West has created about 100 jobs in the Clayton County area, ranging from managers to engineers to production associates.
"The opening of Atlanta West is a result of the continued success of our Home Care business, reflecting the strength of Clorox-branded products," said Linda Rendle, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Cleaning Division. "We're capitalizing on our business momentum by investing in this state-of-the-art facility to enhance our supply chain and support long-term growth."
For more than 70 years, the Atlanta area has been an important hub for Clorox. With offices in Alpharetta, Kennesaw and Forest Park, the company employs approximately 800 people in sales, strategic sourcing, engineering, quality, product supply, manufacturing and distribution.
Paul Unitas, Director, Manufacturing, Atlanta campus, stated, "It's great to be a part of something that will have a meaningful economic impact on the community. Our expansion has created opportunities for existing employees as well as new jobs that are growing our Clorox family here in the Atlanta area."
