Tool Maker Expanding in Ohio

11/05/2008
Kennametal Inc., a manufacturer of tools and advanced materials used in production processes, will invest $10 million to expand its facility in Whitehouse, Ohio, according to the Ohio governor's office. The company expects to create 42 new jobs and retain 86 existing positions within three years of initial operations. The Toledo Blade reports that Kennametal will nearly double its space, adding 20,000 square feet to its existing 25,000-square-foot plant. Financial incentives offered to the company include a tax credit valued at $87,301 for a five-year term that requires the company to maintain operations at the project site for a minimum of 10 years.
