Essence Opens Regional Center in Salt Lake City, Utah

“Essence is a globally connected company with nationally-known clients,” said Val Hale, Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. “Their culture will be a nice addition to our Silicon Slopes community and Salt Lake City. We welcome them in opening their 19th global office in our great state.”

An an incentive, Essence may earn up to 10 percent of the new state taxes they will pay over the five-year life of the agreement in the form of a post-performance Economic Development Increment Finance (EDTIF) tax credit rebate. As part of the contract with Essence, the GOED Board of Directors has approved a post-performance tax credit rebate not to exceed $191,688. Each year that Essence meets the criteria in its contract with the state, it will earn a portion of the total tax credit rebate.
