Waste Hauler's Relocation From California Could Add 100 Jobs to Houston's Economy
12/12/2011
While the location of the new office space has yet to be disclosed, officials said the moving process will start by the end of this year and be completed by September 2012.
Presently based in California's Sacramento County, Waste Connection is America's third-largest waste hauler. It provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services to over two million customers in 29 states. It also provides intermodal services for the movement of containers in the Pacific Northwest.
The Woodlands was chosen for the firm's new headquarters due to its "attractive, lower cost and more centrally located community well serviced by two major airports," said Chairman and CEO Ronald Mittelstaedt.
