Abaxis Veterinary Reference Laboratory Will Create 100 Jobs in Olathe, Kansas

Abaxis, a maker of blood analysis products for the medical, research, and veterinary industries, has selected Olathe, Kansas, for its laboratory testing facility. The company will add 100 employees in the next three years.

The Olathe facility will serve as the company's central Abaxis Veterinary Reference Laboratory. The company will locate in an existing 20,000-square-foot building.

Abaxis is partnering with Kansas State University (KSU), K-State Veterinary Diagnostic Lab, and KSU's National Institution for Strategic Technology Acquisition and Commercialization (NISTAC) to provide a full-service commercial lab for veterinarians from around the country.
