Thistle Inc. Plans $1.9 Million Expansion In Owensville, Missouri
03/24/2015
Thistle is a manufacturer of vinyl products for the retail, convention and tradeshow industries. It specializes in manufacturing customized vinyl products by imprinting brands, taglines and marketing campaigns with full color process digital printing and screening. Its products include name badge holders, retail display sleeves, adhesive pouches, label and business card holders, report covers, optical accessory and jewelry pouches, fixture tag holders, display sleeves for furniture and rugs, tool pouches and job ticket holders.
To accommodate its growth, Thistle has already expanded its fully automated production space with a 12,500 square-foot addition. The company also plans to construct a 14,400 square-foot warehouse, to be completed in the Spring of 2015.
“With more than 30 years of experience under our belts, we are truly looking forward to this next phase in Thistle’s history and the great opportunities that this expansion will present,” said Erin Pfeiffer, Corporate Officer. “We’re very grateful to both our state and local partners for their cooperation in making this project possible.”
To assist Thistle with its expansion, the Missouri Department of Economic Development has offered a strategic economic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria.
“All throughout the state, we see that even Missouri’s smaller communities are capable of supporting growing businesses and thriving economies,” said Missouri Department of Economic Development Director Mike Downing. “Thistle, Inc.’s expansion, which will increase the company’s workforce by more than two-thirds, adds valuable jobs to the region. This is great news for Owensville and I applaud Thistle’s continued investment in its community.”
