04/25/2011
Geiger International, a maker of wood case goods, seating, and interior furniture, is investing $3.7 million in a new facility in Hildebran, North Carolina. The company will create 64 jobs as part of its expansion. The One North Carolina Fund is supporting the growth with $128,000 grant.

"By establishing new and expanded operations in Hildebran, we will create greater operational efficiencies and reduce our costs, enabling us to better serve our customers as we grow our business and create new opportunity for employees," said Steve Gane, president of Geiger.

Geiger currently has a 24-employee facility in Hickory, North Carolina, which will be included in the Hildebran expansion. The company is a subsidiary of Herman Miller.
